Kolber is a Pennsylvania born, Kolber received her graduate education in the University of Miami. She started her professional career as a video producer at CBS Sports in New York City. The award was a Sports Emmy for her work on WTVJ-TV Miami. Also, she worked at WPLG-TV in Miami and WPEC-TV in West Palm Beach, Florida. She joined ESPN in 1993 and was one of the anchors on ESPN2 which was established. Her employment with ESPN2 lasted three years. She then moved on to Fox Sports. In 1999 she was hired by ESPN to present 'Monday Night Countdown.
