Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark spikey blonde locks and pump up appearance, offers the basics of cooking that any person can master. Chef Burrell studied and worked in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Burrell, who grew up in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most fun time of my life. I just couldn't get enough enjoyment from the experience. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy she came to comprehend and appreciate the philosophy behind Italian cuisine and culture which has had a profound impact in her point of view. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of children who are struggling. Additionally, she is an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate, where she promotes awareness of young diabetics. Burrell is often a guest presenter at conferences, and she travels across the nation in her mentorship role. Anne has said throughout her professional career she's grateful to have the opportunity to share with others what is truly important to her.
