Vinita Nair

In July of 2004 Nair joined ABC News as a reporter and reported on a wide range of topics, including an investigation into the killing of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was recruited as a reporter for ABC News in December 2007 as a correspondent/anchor for ABC News Now. In that role, she anchored live coverage as well as news briefs on ABC's digital network. Nair was the co-anchor for World News Now and America This Morning on ABC beginning on September 17, 2008 until February 18, 2011. For both of the shows, Nair was initially paired alongside Jeremy Hubbard. Later she collaborated with Rob Nelson. Nair revealed on Thursday, 17 February 2011 that her final night of working on broadcasting for World News Now would be Friday, 18th February. It would also be the day off as her last for ABC News. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor for KDVR Denver, was her immediate successor. The issue of February 18 on World News Now paid tribute to Nair during each of its three segments. It also featured appearances by former and current colleagues like Jeremy Hubbard. When she was done, she treated the entire team to breakfast. Vinita Vinita Vinita Vinita
